Metabolomics investigation reveals metabolic mediators associated with Ligusticum wallichii-relieving experimental acute pancreatitis

چکیده
Background: Acute pancreatitis (AP) is a typical destructive inflammation of the pancreas. The direct effect L. wallichii on AP remains unknown. Methods: animal model was constructed by intraperitoneal injection caerulein in male Sprague–Dawley rats. extracts were used to treat rats with AP. Then, tissue injury evaluated hematoxylin and eosin staining. Serum indicators, including amylase, lipase, KL-6, creatinine urea, measured commercial kits. GC/MS-based metabolomics utilized characterize metabolome. Results: Intraperitoneal protected against lung, liver, kidney caerulein-induced analysis revealed that treatment could restore alteration abundance most metabolites. These differential metabolites enriched twelve metabolic pathways able be reprogramed administration. impacted arginine metabolism inhibiting arginase expression activity. Inhibition S-(2-boronoethyl)-L-cysteine (BEC) relieve AP, suggesting suppression potential mechanism for ameliorate AP.Conclusion: Our data provide inter-relationship between reprograming anti-AP effects rats, highlight pathogenesis.

Metabolomics Investigation Reveals Metabolite Mediators Associated with Acute Lung Injury and Repair in a Murine Model of Influenza Pneumonia
Influenza virus infection (IVI) can cause primary viral pneumonia, which may progress to acute lung injury (ALI) and respiratory failure with a potentially fatal outcome. At present, the interactions between host and influenza virus at molecular levels and the underlying mechanisms that give rise to IVI-induced ALI are poorly understood. We conducted a comprehensive mass spectrometry-based meta...
متن کاملMetabolomics Approach Reveals Integrated Metabolic Network Associated with Serotonin Deficiency
Serotonin is an important neurotransmitter that broadly participates in various biological processes. While serotonin deficiency has been associated with multiple pathological conditions such as depression, schizophrenia, Alzheimer's disease and Parkinson's disease, the serotonin-dependent mechanisms remain poorly understood. This study therefore aimed to identify novel biomarkers and metabolic...
متن کاملMetabolomics approach reveals urine biomarkers and pathways associated with the pathogenesis of lupus nephritis
Objective(s): lupus nephritis (LN) is a severe form of systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) with renal complications. Current diagnosis is based on invasive renal biopsy and serum antibodies and complement levels that are not specific enough. The current study aims to identify new biomarker candidates for non-invasive diagnosis of LN and explore the pathogenic mechanisms...
متن کاملMetabolomics Reveals Metabolic Biomarkers of Crohn's Disease
The causes and etiology of Crohn's disease (CD) are currently unknown although both host genetics and environmental factors play a role. Here we used non-targeted metabolic profiling to determine the contribution of metabolites produced by the gut microbiota towards disease status of the host. Ion Cyclotron Resonance Fourier Transform Mass Spectrometry (ICR-FT/MS) was used to discern the masses...
متن کاملAcute pancreatitis associated with brucellosis.
CONTEXT Acute pancreatitis can be caused by a variety of infectious agents but it is regarded as an extremely rare complication of brucellosis. CASE REPORT We briefly describe a 56-year-old man who presented with acute pancreatitis, fever, myalgia, and other clinical symptoms. Brucella melitensis was cultured from his blood. All clinical manifestations gradually resolved with the institution ...
